Engineered Core Veneer
Our Thick Backer/Engineered Veneer is the future of environmentally green, high end veneer core. It is a special board made of engineered natural long wood fibers designed for bentwood and 3D molded parts.
- .050″ – .375″ thick
- Up to 8′ wide and 20′ long
- Weight densities from hard maple, sweet gum and poplar
- Color is beige to light tan (similar to maple)
- Available large sheet sizes to small cut to size pieces
- Clear, 1 piece, no void 20 foot lengths available

- Easy to machine, stain and finish
- Can be printed, stained and surface finished with UV high wear top coats
- Laser cuts and H.F. presses with no blow outs (no phenolic)
- Can easily be punched, die cut, water jet cut or machined leaving nice tight edge
- Very stable with extremely accurate thickness controls
- Bendable and flexible (until laminated)
- Multi layer laminator component parts
- Excellent for laminating or encapsulating with water resistant, nonslip dry film overlays
- Bonds/Glues easily with most liquid or dry glue systems
- Extreme cost, weight, strength ratios begin at approximately 1/8″ thickness
- Cross banding for stability or strength generally not needed
